Manual posting activity has been pretty slow around here. Aren’t you glad I keep you busy with those Fitbit posts?
Seriously, brewing and ‘queing has been likewise slow around here. but not the activity. In fact, I hanted to share something both food and health related for your consideration.
Yes, that’s a “diet book”. Moreover, it’s a diet book from a television personality. Egads!
Just hear me out. My wife is borderline obsessed with The Biggest Loser, which is a topic for another post some other time. the upside of her fanaticism is our discovery of Jullian Michaels. While I don’t work out nearly as much as I should, I have this eating things down pat thanks to the above book. As a foodie, I haven’t found a single recipe in the book yet that didn’t both impress and surprise me with simplicity and flavor. I was skeptical about the first recipe we tried, mulligatawny soup–my favorite soup of all time–with curried chicken. However, it blew me away. So while the cover has remained on the Big Green Egg, there has been no shortage of great food in our house. Here are some random shots from the past few months of the terrific food (I’ll update and add the recipe names to the best of my recollection without having the book in front of me).
(now, how’d that get in here?)
The results of all this eating? I hit my Fitbit goal weight of 183 lbs this morning! I haven’t even been focused lately. In fact, I’ve been slacking with wearing my Fitbit and walking to work (blame the weather) lately. Imagine if I were actually trying!
